Friendsgiving Blog Hop

Thanksgiving means being grateful and thankful for all you have. This friendsgiving tablescape is meant to embody the harvest from the season.

I love creating tablescapes, check out my fall tablescape from last year, which was a bit different!

I am so excited to be a part of a Friendsgiving Blog Hop to show you my tablescape!

I hope you find lots of inspiration on this Friendsgiving Blog Hop! If you're coming from, Kristin, White Arrows Home, hi there & happy to have you! A big thank you to, Jacqueline, Welcoming Home for coordinating this hop!

We are going to be heading to my parent's house in MA this year for Thanksgiving so this is more of an inspirational tablescape rather than what will actually be used.

For me, when I think of Thanksgiving, I think of full cornucopias, plenty of food, & lots of thankfulness!  I really wanted to emulate that with this tablescape.  I wanted to create a harvest table with a sense of abundance & fullness from the seasons crop.

To do this, I headed to my local farmer's market & gathered some mini & heirloom pumpkins, acorn squash, & pears.  I also scooped up a few little baskets to replicate cornucopias.

I layered the produce to look as if things were cascading & flowing from the baskets.  I used lamb's ear & other greenery to fill in any empty spots.

I chose deep, rusty colored pears & dark green acorn squash because I thought they were perfect colors for the season.  I added in the pastel pumpkins & light colored greenery to bring in some dimension.

For place settings, I kept it simple so that the star of the table was the centerpiece.  I used my favorite white dishes, white napkins & placed a pear on top.

This would be such a fun set up for a Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving celebration!  I think it would be great to serve the food buffet style & then guests can all gather around the table & enjoy each other's company while admiring the large centerpiece.

You could use any produce that you like to recreate this tablescape.  You could add in some dried corn or sprinkle some cranberries around the table.  You could use real greenery such as eucalyptus.  I love creating tablescapes with natural elements as they feel so warm & inviting.
