Deck the Blogs: Christmas Home Tour 2017

Christmas time is such a magical season!  This year it is extra special because of Dominic.  Although he won't understand what's going on, it will still be fun to celebrate with him!

I love decorating our dining room and sun room for each season, see them for fall, HERE.

I am excited to be a part of this Christmas Home Tour, Deck the Blogs!

I am part of 2 Christmas blog tours this year, but first up I wanted to take you through our Dining Room & Sun Room.  Please be sure to check out all the lovely bloggers who are a part of this tour.  There is so much Christmas inspo in here!  All of their posts are linked at the bottom of mine.

Let's step into the dining room!  I went with a very neutral palette & with a winter wonderland type of theme.  Lots of greenery, flocked trees, 'snow,' & natural elements.  I love the frostiness of the flocked trees so they are sprinkled throughout the dining room.

The table is simple with a couple of flocked trees, faux garland, fake snow, & a sled.  We put up the 6' flocked tree again in the windows so that you can see the twinkling of the lights from the street.

Our buffet table is super simple with a couple of trees, red ball garland, books, & corbels.  Moving onto the antique cabinet, I wanted to create a little Christmas village.  I used the Target Dollar Spot houses, some white candles, & a pretty tree from my favorite local antique shop, The Tattered Tulip.

Swinging around to the shelf unit, I kept my ironstone on display along with my Rae Dunn pieces (just turned around), added in this gorgeous O Holy Night sign from Oh Sweet Skye & put up my DIY chalk painted Believe sign. Oh Sweet Skye is offering you 15% off of the O Holy Night sign in her shop using code: ARATARIATHOME. These signs are beautiful & so well made! You can even choose the colors of the font, background, & frame.

I hope you feel like you are walking in a winter wonderland while touring our dining room!

Let's cruise on back to the Sunroom.  I am skipping over the living room because we always get our real Christmas tree after Thanksgiving so I will share our living room in my next blog hop!

I wanted to carry that same Winter Wonderland theme in the Sunroom.  I used lots of different white trees as a centerpiece on the coffee table & some different sized white candles & cement trees on the end table.

Some white pillows & red ticking stripe pillows bring in some Christmas cheer.  In the corner, I made a mini forest with a faux tree in an antique apple basket, I put some cotton stems in an old crock, & stuck some greenery in an olive bucket.

I created a simple DIY wall installation using sheet music & clipboards.  I love the Sunroom in the winter because when it snows you feel like you're outside, but from the warm comforts of our home.

I wanted the Sunroom to feel warm & inviting.  Wish you could stop by for some coffee!
