Activities for Kids in the Summer
We have had some summer like weather so we have been coming up with tons of activities to do with the kids!
See my ideas for toddlers HERE.
We love spending lots of time outside with the kids in the summer so these activities should keep them busy for at least a few minutes!

With these warmer months upon us, we try to take advantage and be outside as much as possible. I try to have several ideas on hand to keep us busy that are new and exciting.
KIDS ACTIVITIES
Plant a flower/plant: We planted a little tomato and cucumber plant and each day we check on them to see how they’re growing. It’s fun and I think Dominic will be so excited to eat the veggies when they are ready
DIY Water Table: We tried buying a water table and they are either sold out or are marked WAY up! We decided to make our own from a kiddie pool and little toys. The kids love it and when we don’t want to go in the big pool, this is an easy way to cool down.
Bake something: We have always loved trying new recipes, but in the summer it’s fun to make different treats! Some of our fave recipes: MINI DONUT MUFFINS, OATMEAL COOKIE PANCAKES, RASPBERRY MANGO POPSICLES, ENERGY BITES.
Take a walk: Sounds so easy, but honestly, the kids LOVE it. We use this wagon and they are both obsessed with it. I will also wear Giulietta if Dominic wants to walk by himself.
Indoor or Outdoor picnic: If the weather is nice, we love doing a lunch picnic outside. It’s fun for the kiddos because it’s a change of scenery. If we can’t eat outside, we will do a picnic on the floor in the living room or in the basement. Again, the change of scenery makes meal times more fun!
Make homemade paint: We did this a couple months ago and Dominic had a blast! It’s so easy to do and it makes a lot. See the recipe HERE.
These are just a few ideas of things we love to do in hopes that they inspire you to try with your kiddos. Summer is about fun so I say anything goes to make the kids happy!
