A Summer Centerpiece
With the Summer Solstice this week, I have been feeling a little inspired to bring some Summer cheer inside!
Summer means lots of time outside on our porch. See our summer porch this year HERE and HERE.
We have a beautiful rose bush that started to bloom last weekend. It doesn't last long so I knew I had to pick some of the roses or their true beauty would never be seen inside our home. They inspired me to create a fun new summer centerpiece.
I took my giant antique toolbox that I got from one of my favorite antique stores, Crompton Collective and filled it with all different shapes & sizes of vases.
I then took some plain white flour sack tea towels & placed them in the toolbox to look like they were cascading out of the tool box. I love all the white & then pops of pink from the roses. It really brightens up the dining room.
The best thing is when these roses have seen better days, I will still have a simple & beautiful centerpiece. You know I always crave simplicity for Summer so this really is the perfect arrangement. I may have to go to Trader Joe's though & pick up some of their blooms to fill in after these roses are gone. There is just something about fresh flowers!
What do you think of this centerpiece? I wanted to inspire you to create something fun for Summer & I hope this helped a bit :)
